West Ham have so far encountered the same problems that plagued their debut season at the London Stadium in the new campaign, struggling to find consistency and building towards a better period for the fans.
The Hammers impressed with their quota of summer signings, who provided a timely boost to the squad, but their arrivals hasn’t paved the way for major improvements on the field as Slaven Bilic’s side have won just two of their eight matches.
With the majority of the Premier League’s big boys still to play, it’s certainly not an ideal situation for the club and there’s plenty of work to be done- and fans can be forgiven for already thinking ahead to the winter transfer window.
Whilst it provides another opportunity for West Ham to improve their squad, they also must make changes to the players they currently have at their disposal and must make room for new arrivals- particularly with these players largely surplus to requirements.
