Reported West Ham United target Rachid Ghezzal has rejected an approach from Everton due to a lack of European football, according to L’Equipe.
The Lyon winger is in the last 12 months of his contract with the Ligue 1 club and is being heavily rumoured with a switch to English football.
The Hammers have had an offer rejected from the French side earlier this summer and it was believed that Everton were in the driving seat to land the Algeria international.
However, the latest report suggests that Ghezzal wants to play European football in some form and as such is not willing to move to the Merseyside club.
With Slaven Bilic’s men competing in the Europa League, a return for the goalscoring attacking midfielder could well be an option for the London club.
Southampton are another side being linked with Ghezzal, who would offer pace and skill on the flanks for West Ham if a deal could be thrashed out.
