West Ham United’s attempts to sign Wilfried Bony on a short-term loan deal could well work in everyone’s favour, with The Telegraph stating that the Ivorian is set to move to China in January.

The Ivory Coast international is surplus to requirements at Manchester City following Pep Guardiola’s arrival and has reportedly been told that he can find a new club.

The Hammers are in the market for a new number nine following injuries to Andre Ayew and Andy Carroll, with the former Swansea City attacker deemed as the ideal short-term loan option.

The latest report suggests that Bony is set to move to the Chinese Super League in the January transfer window to take up a lucrative financial offer in the Far East.

However, a loan deal with Slaven Bilic’s men until the new year could well work and offer the London club a reprieve in their injury crisis until the current attackers at the Croatian manager’s disposal are back fit and firing.
