West Ham United are interested in taking Arsenal defender Mathieu Debuchy on loan and have made an offer to do so to their London rivals, according to Fanatik.

The France international full-back has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium since the emergence of Hector Bellerin and is expected to be farmed out in 2016-17.

Debuchy was seemingly set to join Turkish giants Galatasaray on a 12 month deal but the latest report suggests that Slaven Bilic is ready to muscle in on any possible deal.

Right-back has become a contentious position for the Hammers, with winger Michail Antonio fitting into the role for the majority of the second half of last season.

Debuchy has plenty of experience but looks to be a fragment of the player that impressed at Newcastle, with a loan stint at Bordeaux giving him time on the pitch in late 2015-16.
