West Ham United are weighing up a summer transfer move for Atletico Madrid striker Borja Baston according to Sundul, as the club’s hunt for a new prolific centre forward continues.
The 23-year-old Spaniard is on the books of the Vicente Calderon outfit but has never made a La Liga appearance for them – instead playing his football out on loan elsewhere.
Baston has scored consistently at other teams and spent last season with La Liga side Eibar – scoring an impressive 18 league goals for the modest outfit.
It remains to be seen whether the versatile forward has a future with Diego Simeone’s men or whether he will be sold or sent on loan again.
West Ham are struggling in their pursuit of a number of other strikers and could well be ready to strike while the iron is hot to land Baston.
The Spaniard has also been linked with a move to Tottenham in the recent past.
