West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has already decided that he will look to bring an experienced left-back to the London club on loan to deputise for the injured Aaron Cresswell, The Daily Mail report.

The gifted full-back suffered a serious knee ligament injury in a pre-season win over Karlsruher SC at the weekend and is now expected to be on the sidelines for at least four months.

Cresswell being unavailable is a massive blow for the London club, with the former Ipswich left-back one of West Ham’s most consistent players last season and a real outlet going forward.

A number of potential options have already been touted in the press, with a host of Championship players seen as having the calibre to fill the void while the number one choice is recuperating.

However, the latest report suggests that Bilic has already decided not to sign a new left-back permanently and instead will look to loan someone to take Cresswell’s place.

The suggestion is that it will also be a player that has a lot of experience rather than a young starlet that could progress into the role.
