West Ham United striker Elliot Lee is set to leave the London club on a free transfer this summer, according to Team Talk.

The 21-year-old is a product of the Hammers’ youth academy and has broken into the first-team squad at the Boleyn Ground in recent years.

Despite this, opportunities to play have been in short supply, with Lee spending time out on loan in the Football League with the likes of Colchester, Southend, Luton and Blackpool in recent years.

With the Durham-born starlet failing to hit the back of the net with regularity in his temporary spells away from West Ham, his future looks to be elsewhere.

Lee’s contract with the ambitious Hammers ends this summer and the latest report suggests that he will not be offered a new deal with the Premier League side.

Slaven Bilic’s men are keen to sign a centre forward of note ahead of next season, which would push Lee down the pecking order even further.
