West Ham United are set to face off against a number of Premier League rivals to sign Norwich winger Nathan Redmond this summer, according to The Guardian.

The Canaries’ fate of returning to the Championship was confirmed in midweek as Sunderland beat Everton, with an exodus from Carrow Road expected as a result.

Redmond has stood out as a bright prospect in recent years and has been a consistent feature for the England under-21 side.

Although not always guaranteed a place in Alex Neil’s starting line-up at Norwich, the 22-year-old has contributed goals when given the chance to play and looks like a player of real potential.

The report suggest that the Hammers are looking to pick up Redmond on a bargain deal following Norwich’s demotion, but will have Crystal Palace and Stoke City as rivals for his signature.

A fee in the region of £7-10 million is expected to be enough to see the Canaries part company with the skilful attacker.
