West Ham United sensation Reece Oxford is said to have rejected a new contract from the Hammers, according to Sky Sports, but has taken to Twitter to laugh at rumours of him leaving the London club.

The 17-year-old burst onto the scene on the first day of the 2015-16 campaign, starring as Slaven Bilic’s men defeated Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium 2-0.

Although Oxford only had a handful of run outs for the rest of the campaign and played most of his football in the West Ham youth ranks, he is widely regarded as one of the brightest English prospects of a generation.

Manchester City and Arsenal are among the clubs being linked with a move for the teenage sensation, who is said to be stalling on a new deal with the Hammers according to the report.

However, as the posting on Twitter above shows, Oxford is taking rumours of him leaving his boyhood club with a pinch of salt.
