West Ham United are running the rule over Toulouse forward Wissam Ben Yedder according to Correire dello Sport, but face competition from a host of Italian clubs for his signature.

The 25-year-old has scored consistently in Ligue 1 over a number of seasons and has hit the back of the net 16 times this term.

The former France under-21’s striker is being tipped to leave the modest French club for a new challenge this summer and West Ham are one of those teams said to be interested in landing him.

The Hammers will look to bolster their attacking options in the transfer market this summer and are believed to have lodged a bid for Michy Batshuayi also.

Slaven Bilic’s men have had success in signing players from Ligue 1, with Dimitri Payet’s switch from Marseille a revelation for the club this season.

Ben Yedder is said to be valued at around the €10 million mark, with Napoli and Roma also interested in him.
