West Ham United are involved in a transfer scramble to sign Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko according to talkSPORT, but have a host of Premier League rivals as competition for the France international’s signature.
The all-action midfielder is one of a host of players expected to leave St James’ Park now that the Tyneside club have been relegated to The Championship.
Sissoko has impressed over the years for the North East side, with his lung busting runs forward in possession a trademark of his style of play.
However, some of the Geordie faithful became disillusioned with the midfielder as his work-rate on the back foot can be called into question and his lack of willingness to track back could well be an issue.
With Sissoko in France’s squad for Euro 2016 and set to be in the shop window, the Hammers have the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham as potential challengers to sign him according to the report.
