Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson has stated that he is loyal to the Cherries and hinted that he is not interested in a move to West Ham.

The Hammers made a double raid on Vitality Stadium duo Wilson and Matt Ritchie, but Edie Howe’s men sent the £25 million offer packing.

Tottenham are also being linked with a move for striker Wilson, who looks to be a future England international in the making.

The former Coventry attacker had an excellent first couple of weeks in the Premier League, scoring at will, but picked up a serious knee injury at Stoke which kept him on the sidelines for the majority of the campaign.

With Wilson back fit again and able to feature for Bournemouth, West Ham have lodged a bid and other sides are also interested in the striker.

Despite this, the 24-year-old has pledged his future to the Cherries but said he was flattered by other clubs showing an interest in him.

“I am a loyal person,” he told The Bournemouth Echo.

“I am grateful to Bournemouth for giving me the opportunity to play at a high level in the Championship. We had a good season last year and got promoted and then I got my chance to play in the Premier League.

“I want to maintain that for as long as possible. Because I had been out for six months, I didn’t take much notice of it [transfer talk].

“I had just come back from injury and then, all of a sudden, I was being linked with clubs. It was a bit unrealistic. You take confidence from your name being linked with big clubs.”
