West Ham United face more competition to sign Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain this summer, with ESPN claiming that Manchester United are interested in the versatile midfielder.

The England international has been starved of regular football at the Emirates Stadium in recent times and as a result is being tipped to leave the North London club in the summer.

West Ham have been one of the sides most commonly linked to the former Southampton prodigy, who would be an exciting signing for the Hammers.

However, should Oxlade-Chamberlain become available a host of other Premier League teams would be in the running to land him also, with United’s name added to this growing list.

The Red Devils have had a season to forget and are expected to splash the cash this summer in and attempt to power their way back into the Premier League top four and title race.

West Ham want notable signings to mark their move to the Olympic Stadium and would give off a real statement of intent by signing Oxlade-Chamberlain.
