West Ham’s move for Dimitri Payet seems to be taking an age but it appears that the Hammers may have captured their man, according to football agent Muzzi Ozcan.

Ozcan was one of the first to announce that West Ham had agreed personal terms with Slaven Bilic before the Croatian eventually put pen to paper in order to become West Ham’s 15th manager.

Now, it seems that Dimitri Payet is close to joining Bilic after a series of tweets seems to imply that the deal for the creative French international is pretty much complete. A timeline of his tweets are posted below:

As well as these tweets, Ozcan also stated that the Payet deal was essentially complete, before deleting the tweet and later claiming he was hacked. Although his account may have been interfered with, the fact that he has told West Ham fans to ‘listen to the Official announcement’ suggests that the deal itself is pretty much complete and that the club want to announce the marquee signing before any news is leaked on social media.

The delay in the announcement also coincides with Ozcan’s prediction that the deal will be announced next week, rather than in the next couple of days.

Other than Ozcan’s updates, the club has been very discrete in terms of how negotiations are faring and there has been little media coverage regarding Payet’s whereabouts.

Although the lack of an announcement will worry some fans, it looks as if Payet will become West Ham’s third signing of the summer if Ozcan’s rather blatant hints are anything to go by.
