Let’s Go #&!*^%$ Top!

|

West Ham are joint leaders with Southampton heading into this weekends fixtures, with the Hammers in second place on goal difference. We have a chance to be outright league leaders if we get the job done against Nottingham Forest (whom Southampton just beat 3-0) and Southampton slip up against the disappointing Leicester.

Nottingham Forest appear to be really struggling at this point in the season, as they’re in the bottom three with a -21 goal difference, having lost 16 games.  Ouch! However, while this may seem good news to most prospective opponents, West Ham haven’t always looked the part against “lesser” opponents (no disrespect, Nottingham Forest).

Good news is that we walloped Forest in the first fixture back in August, 4-1.  The bad news is that that was a full five months ago.

Anything can happen against Nottingham Forest on Saturday. Here’s what I want to happen:  We keep a clean sheet, we score more than one goal (we need you firing on all cylinders, Baldock), and we play assertively for the full 90 minutes. I know we can do it. Come On You Irons!

Im PRAYING i go there today and witness a good solid performance. I don’t know why but seeing as on our last 2 attempts at going top we have slipped up… i get a funny feeling Harewood will be up for this one and it COULD punish us.

Having said that my not so pessimistic head tells me 4-0 Cole and Baldock grabbing 2 each. COYI

I am a Forest fan so this is painful to say but to be honest if you do not put two or three past us today I will be amazed. Anyone who saw the Leicester fiasco will be in no doubt as to the outcome. When your own fans chant “your not fit to wear the shirt” and the legendary “lets pretend we’ve scored a goal” it says an awful lot.
As for Harewood scoring… Hahahaha he is too rusty at the moment, watch out for Tudgay if he plays as he is the only one scoring for Forest.
Having said that COME ON YOU REDS.
