Could the ongoing drama surrounding West Ham United and their hunt for a new striker finally be coming to an end?

The Hammers are looking to strengthen their attacking options, with reliable club source, ExWHUemployee, revealing that Manuel Pellegrini wants at least two new forwards at the club before the end of the transfer market.

That search could finally be on its way to an end, with the Daily Mail reporting that West Ham are set to wrap up a £36million deal for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Sebastien Haller.

Despite this, Adi Hutter, head coach of Frankfurt, revealed in an interview with Sport Bild, that the decision lies with the German club to agree to a deal, which would then see the 25-year-old have to make a decision.

Hutter said: “It’s all about whether or not there is agreement when the clubs are put together.¬†That’s all still in the balance.”

“It is the decision of the player, if he says, I might want to leave the club, because the complete package is right.”

This comment must put the Hammers in a prime position to land the Frenchman, who could solve all of the Hammers’ problems after selling Marko Arnautovic to Shanghai SIPG.

After all, why would Hutter have commented on the potential transfer if Haller didn’t stand a chance of moving to the London Stadium? The Frankfurt boss does seem to reveal that the 25-year-old could stay in Germany, but West Ham surely stand a great chance of landing the Frenchman after these comments, as why would he suggested the player might want to leave.

Haller scored 15 goals and assisted a further nine in the Bundesliga last season, and won an average of 6.9 aerial battles per game – a stat which more than proves his capability to lead the line. [WhoScored]

It appears that Hutter and Frankfurt are open to keeping ahold of the powerful forward, but also realise that a move away to the Premier League could be too much of a temptation for the prolific frontman.

The 25-year-old would be a welcome addition to the West Ham squad, with Pellegrini surely jumping for joy after the latest comments from Hutter regarding one of his star strikers.
