The return of this duo will no doubt be a kick in the teeth for West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini. He had no doubt been hoping that his team would have the edge over Spurs due to the number of absences that they had, but that is now not the case. Mauricio Pochettino will be delighted that both players are now fit to feature, as they are both pivotal to the smooth running of the midfield. They are arguably two of Tottenham’s standout players, and the fact that they have returned will be a massive boost to the team chance’s this weekend. Both of their absences have been clearly felt on the field, but Pochettino’s worries can now be put to bed. This will no doubt spark a turnaround in results for Spurs, something which they need to do if they stand any chance of a top-four finish in the Premier League this season. One thing is for sure though – West Ham will need to keep a close eye on this duo if they feature.
