Lukasz Fabianski has passed a West Ham medical ahead of his expected transfer to the club, according to Claret & Hugh.

The trusted Hammers news outlet report that the 33-year-old goalkeeper, who earns £50,000-a-week at his current club Swansea City (Source: Spotrac), flew into London for a discrete medical before travelling to Russia to join up with Poland’s squad.

Claret & Hugh report that Fabianski was understood to have secretly flown to England’s capital in order to pass a Hammers medical after Poland’s pre-tournament training camp ended on June 7.

OPINION

Claret & Hugh in a previous report on June 12 shared that the Hammers were set to announce that Fabianski was to be a Hammers player so it will be a massive shock if this deal isn’t officially confirmed shortly. It’s seems Manuel Pellegrini’s side have planned accordingly and got all the necessary bits and bobs done in order for Fabianski to seal his move while away representing Poland at the World Cup. It seems that there have been no problems to this deal once the ball got rolling as it seems that once the deal reached  the negotiating personal terms stages, it was all smooth sailing. Hopefully this is the start of a flurry of new signings being confirmed as the Hammers have been linked to several players in recent weeks. Fabianski may not be the most glamorous name expected to arrive at the London  Stadium this summer but seeing the club sign a capable  goalkeeper will be a welcomed sight. The Hammers suffered numerous issues due to Joe Hart and Adrian not being reliable shot-stoppers last season.
