West Ham are set for a major recruitment drive this summer and David Moyes is likely to place a lot of focus on his attacking lines, after seeing the Hammers struggle for consistency in the final third.

Top-scorer Marko Arnautovic, signed for a club-record fee last summer, leads the scoring charts with nine goals but the fact that not a single Hammers player has hit double figures in the Premier League this season tells it’s own story.

A number of names have been linked with a potential move to the London Stadium and reports in Portugal have thrown the name of Raul Jimenez into the mix again, with Sports Witness citing claims that Benfica are keen on an expensive sale this summer.

Jimenez, scorer of just four goals this season, was remarkably linked with a €50m move to China last year but saw the advances rejected by Benfica, suggesting that any move occurring this summer would have to be a very high price- although it’s unlikely any side would match such demands.

The 26-year-old doesn’t exactly stand out as the potential solution to West Ham’s problems in the final third, so fans may hope the club steer well clear of his services.
