West Ham are looking to significantly bolster their attacking ranks this summer after struggling for consistency in the final third this season and their need to improve their options is being raised due to Javier Hernandez’s uncertain future.

A host of names have already been linked with a move to the London Stadium and it appears that David Moyes’ side are looking closer to home, having been attributed with an interest in a striker on the ranks of another Premier League side.

The Daily Mirror claims West Ham have opened talks regarding a possible deal to sign Salomon Rondon from doomed West Brom, who are poised to suffer relegation to the Championship after a woeful campaign.

It’s stated that Rondon will be available for £16.5m this summer but West Ham face competition for the Venezuela international, as both Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are also said to be keen on his services.

28-year-old Rondon has scored nine goals across all competitions for the Baggies this season.
