West Ham could be handed a golden opportunity to bolster their defensive ranks with the addition of a highly-rated talent in the summer market.
Spanish outlet Don Balon claim Barcelona centre-back Yerry Mina is keen on a move to the Premier League this summer, either on-loan or permanently, leading to suggestions that West Ham could return in the market for the Colombia international.
23-year-old Mina only signed for the runaway La Liga leaders in January but faces a battle to establish himself in the squad and could be forced to leave this summer due to squad regulations that only permit Ernesto Valverde to have three non-EU players within his ranks.
Despite widespread mockery last year, former Tottenham flop Paulinho has proven to be a valuable asset this season and Philippe Coutinho’s arrival from Liverpool in the mid-season has seen the Brazil international force his way into the squad.
On top of this, Barcelona have secured a deal to sign Arthur from Gremio and the South American midfielder is due to arrive at Camp Nou this summer, which could spell an end for Mina- albeit potentially temporary.
