West Ham are desperately seeking defensive reinforcements this summer after a campaign that has seen the Hammers flirt with relegation, though an upturn in form in recent weeks has pushed David Moyes’ side away from the drop zone.

Sat five points above the bottom three, West Ham know there is still work to do on the field but preparations for another campaign in the top-flight are underway, with Moyes already eyeing potential additions.

One of those widely linked with a move to the London Stadium is Fulham’s Ryan Fredericks, who is poised to be available on a free transfer when his deal at Craven Cottage comes to an end in a few months.

However, quoted by Get West LondonFredericks suggested he could still stay with the promotion chasing side as talks regarding a renewal are ongoing- handing a huge blow to West Ham’s interest.

“They’re still talking, it’s no secret that I love being at Fulham, there’d be nothing better than playing for Fulham in the Premier League. We’ll have to see what happens.”

“Once you get caught up in transfer speculation near the end of the season you’re form is going to dip, all I care about is doing well on the pitch and the relevant people will sort out my career while I’m doing the business on the pitch.”
