West Ham have plenty of work to do this summer to push themselves away from the relegation threat that has loomed over the London Stadium this season and there’s already a number of interesting transfer reports appearing.

Earlier this week it was stated that West Ham, along with Everton, are keen on bringing former Manchester United man Shinji Kagawa back to the Premier League and that has again been stated in recent days, with The Sun attributing Sport Bild with the links.

Capped 89 times by Japan and set to represent his nation at this summer’s World Cup, Kagawa has fought his way back into the Borussia Dortmund first-team fold under Peter Stoger but the long-term future of the manager remains in doubt.

Kagawa, now 29, could be deemed as surplus to requirements by a new boss and West Ham, who desperately need to improve their midfield options, are reportedly set to present a fresh opportunity to the Japan ace.

The midfielder worked with David Moyes previously at Manchester United before returning to Dortmund in 2016.
