West Ham boss David Moyes has made his desire to strengthen his midfield options very clear, having failed with a number of moves during the January transfer window.

The Scottish boss looks set to rectify those troubles at the end of the season and one man regularly linked with a move to the London Stadium is Norwich City ace James Maddison, who has caught the eye in the Championship.

Maddison leads the Canaries’ scoring charts this season with 15 goals in all competitions and Norwich are braced for bids this summer, as they prepare for an auction to raise their funds, but West Ham could miss out.

The Mirror states Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in the England U21 international, who Norwich have slapped a £30m price-tag on.

Interest from the two Premier League sides is a blow for the Hammers, as they’ll be able to offer Champions League football, whilst the fee mentioned also presents Moyes with an issue as he’d have to splash a new club-record to secure a deal.
