West Ham are looking to bolster their side significantly this summer and have been linked with a host of targets, many of whom would strengthen David Moyes’ side in the centre of the field.

The Hammers were keen to reinforce their central ranks in January but saw a number of moves fall through, instead signing Joao Mario on-loan from Inter Milan- but now seeing an approach worth £12m for a permanent deal rejected by the Italian side.

That may leave Moyes searching for other targets and, whilst their top-flight status will need to be secured before they get any commitments, it’s stated that the Hammers are ready to meet the demands of Arsenal ace Jack Wilshere.

The Daily Star states Arsenal are yet to make an offer that matches Wilshere’s £120k-a-week demands and, whilst he’s hopeful to remain at the Emirates Stadium, West Ham are ready to match that figure and bring him across London.

However, further competition for Wilshere’s services comes from Everton, AC Milan and Juventus, all of whom want to bring the midfielder in on a free transfer.
