West Ham face a stern battle in the remaining months of the Premier League campaign, as the Hammers seek to retain their position in the top-flight.
Defeat to Liverpool at Anfield last weekend has left David Moyes’ side just three points above the relegation zone, ahead of a crucial clash with fellow strugglers Swansea City this weekend.
Fortunately, the Hammers have seen improvements on the field and summer signing Marko Arnautovic has developed into a key-man for Moyes’ side, earning plenty of support from another fan favourite at the London Stadium.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Argentine playmaker Manuel Lanzini compared Arnautovic to former Hammers favourite Dimitri Payet- who excelled during his time in the Premier League before returning to Marseille.
“Our partnership is fantastic. It’s easy to play with Marko because he is a good player, he has a good touch, good mentality and he wants to win the games. He is like me, so it’s easy to play with these players. We make each other better, of course. We want the same things and we think the same way.”
“It’s similar to the feeling I had with Dimi before, because they are similar players. If you have a player who plays like you, it’s easy. You need to connect and that’s it. You touch the ball one way, and he touches the ball the same way.”
