The transfer window has come to a close and sides battling to avoid relegation in the Premier League will have to make do with the squad they have at their disposal, with West Ham amongst many facing a crucial end to the campaign.
David Moyes’ side sit just three points above the relegation zone heading into the decisive stage of the season and there are still some question marks remaining regarding the squad that the Hammers have at their disposal.
Movement was made in January to bring in the likes of Joao Mario and Jordan Hugill but the Hammers need to look within their squad for inspiration, which could come in the form of talented youngsters behind the scenes.
With Reece Oxford and Toni Martinez, two of West Ham’s most highly-rated young prospects, leaving on-loan during the January window, it hands an opportunity for other players to make a claim for more regular action.
Moyes needs to consider using those players and these three in particular need to be given further opportunities between now and the end of the season.
