There is a growing concern around Newcastle that the experienced Spaniard could leave this summer, after a number of frustrations being endured in the past 12 months, and he could be the ideal man for the West Ham job.
Benitez has the experience to lead a struggling Hammers side and also has the ability in the transfer window to lure the ideal recruits to his side, as shown by his capture of Mikel Merino from Borussia Dortmund, despite having limited funds at his disposal.
