West Ham are set for a flurry of activity during the January transfer window as David Moyes looks to rejuvenate his side who have underperformed so far this term.

The Hammers have enjoyed an upturn in form since the Scottish boss replaced Slaven Bilic but there is still a lot of work to be done- and the January window is set to be crucial, with both incoming deals and outgoing pieces of business crucial.

A number of players surplus to requirements have been linked with an exit from the London Stadium this month but one of the latest reports suggests a far more intriguing situation, claiming that a signing only made this summer will be allowed to leave.

The Telegraph claims that the East London side will listen to offers for Mexican striker Javier Hernandez, who only signed in the summer as a £16m marquee recruit from Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen.

Hernandez has struggled for consistency since returning to the Premier League, scoring four goals before October but now enduring a stretch of nine games without a strike- whilst he’s also had to spend time on the sidelines due to injury.

A sale of Hernandez would be controversial but it would raise funds for a marquee signing that could fire the Hammers away from relegation trouble and, with club-record recruit Marko Arnautovic finally firing on all cylinders, it gives West Ham some leeway.
