West Ham boss David Moyes is chasing exciting pieces of business before the closure of the transfer window next week, with a number of potential deals going ahead.

The Hammers are closing in on their first recruit this month in the form of Inter Milan midfielder Joao Mario and are keen to continue their business with a deal to secure a new attacker, due to problems in their forward line.

HITC report that one man attracting the Hammers interest is Rubin Kazan’s former Blackburn man Ruben Rochina, who could be available for nothing this month due to the Russian side’s financial situation.

The 24-year-old forward has not been paid for months by his employers and, as such, could follow Yann M’Vila in making a request for FIFA to cancel his contract, making him a free agent.

West Ham are eyeing attackers due to Andy Carroll’s injury and the ongoing speculation surrounding the futures of Diafra Sakho, Andre Ayew and Javier Hernandez, though they’re not alone with their interest in the attacker.

Promotion chasing Fulham are also keen on a deal for Rochina, as are Spanish minnows Girona.
