West Ham are desperately looking to improve their squad ahead of the second-half of the season and a number of attacking targets have been linked ahead of the January transfer window.

David Moyes’ side have struggled for consistency in front of goal this season and have reportedly been eyeing a number of potential strikers to improve their return- though the latest reports set them up for disappointment in the chase for one man.

The Daily MailĀ state Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge, who has been regularly linked with a move to East London in previous transfer windows, is ready to say goodbye to the Premier League and is instead eyeing a move to the continent.

La Liga duo Espanyol and Valencia are attributed with interest in the England international, who has never quite fulfilled his potential in the Premier League during his spell at Anfield, as well as with Manchester City and Chelsea.

West Ham have long been attributed with interest in Sturridge but the 28-year-old may not be off the market permanently, as it’s stated a January deal will only be on-loan due to Liverpool’s hefty asking price.
