West Ham United keeper Adrian says the Hammers must build upon their display at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday in order to turn their season around.

David Moyes’ side put in a stellar performance in Manchester at the weekend, however were sunk by a late David Silva goal.

Angelo Ogbonna had given the visitors the lead, however Nicolas Otamendi pulled one back to level the scores. Silva’s late strike condemned West Ham to fourth defeat in five games, and leaves them 18th in the Premier League table.

Adrian however, believes if his side perform like that every week, they can claw their way out of trouble.

“We have to take the positive things from this game, that we did a great job in defence, and build for the next games.” said Adrian on whufc.com.

“We have a long run to the end of the season, we are in a difficult situation but I think we have a great dressing room and a great squad.

“We are working hard for the new manager and we need to fight for more points to take us away from the relegation zone.”
