West Ham boss David Moyes is set to make the biggest call of his tenure at the London Stadium thus far, with the Scottish boss ready to drop an established international.

The SunĀ claims that Moyes was impressed with the performance of Adrian in Sunday’s 2-1 defeat to Manchester City, where Joe Hart was unable to feature against his parent side.

As such, Moyes is now looking to keep 30-year-old Adrian between the sticks for the upcoming Premier League clash against defending champions Chelsea, which will hand a huge blow to the loanee’s World Cup hopes.

Hart faces a battle with the likes of Stoke City’s Jack Butland, who’s recently returned from injury, and Everton’s Jordan Pickford for a starting spot at next summer’s tournament, with many stating Hart should be dropped by Gareth Southgate.

With Moyes making the tactical shift, Hart’s hopes of retaining his spot for the World Cup will face a hefty blow and will be the low point of a difficult past 18 months for the Manchester City-owned stopper.
