West Ham have struggled significantly since the start of the season and sit in the Premier League’s bottom three, with just two wins to their name from 13 matches.

The Hammers have at least shown signs of improvement since replacing Slaven Bilic with David Moyes but the experienced Scottish manager is still awaiting his first victory in charge of the East London side, having lost to Watford and drawn with Leicester City.

A crucial period now lies ahead of West Ham, starting with tomorrow night’s clash with fellow relegation contenders Everton, and the January transfer window is going to be extremely important for the Hammers and their battle to avoid the drop.

West Ham are reportedly interested in Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter, also a reported target for Crystal Palace, but the 27-year-old midfielder has told The Bournemouth Echo that he’s ignoring the speculation.

“It was a bit of a surprise. I haven’t heard anything and am just going about my normal business. You have to ignore these things because it is the only thing you can do. I am contracted to this club and my full focus is on AFC Bournemouth.”

The Republic of Ireland international is a South Coast hero having spent the past seven years with the Cherries, earning promotion from both League One and the Championship.
