It’s certainly been a turbulent week for West Ham and major changes have taken place in recent days, with Slaven Bilic sacked on Monday and David Moyes swiftly appointed yesterday.
The Hammers slipped into the relegation zone in the wake of Saturday’s 4-1 defeat to Liverpool, with the final slip coming after Everton beat Watford on Sunday, and that leaves Moyes with a lot of work to do.
West Ham now face a run of crucial games as they tackle Watford, Leicester City and Everton following the international break and one of Moyes’ biggest challenges could be winning over the fans, who have become increasingly frustrated at the London Stadium.
Striker Andy Carroll has certainly put himself in the firing line though as he criticised fans for leaving early, stating they should stay until the end of matches as it shows a lack of support- earning himself an angry response from supporters.
Many flooded to social media to hit out at a striker who’s got more red cards than goals this season and he could face a very warm reception in a few weeks time.
Andy Carroll wants fans to show more loyalty.
Well guess what Andy, I'll still be going to games when we get relegated, where will you be?— Dave Rice (@ricey63) November 6, 2017
I’m with Andy Carroll. It’s all the fans fault. If we had stayed till the end we would have beaten Liverpool 5-4. I feel ashamed. I’m sorry

Andy Carroll has missed 103 games since signing for West Ham. Not sure he's in any place to criticise the fans who applaud him every week.

Andy Carroll questioning our loyalty is beyond a joke! Nothing but supported by us despite hardly playing.

Bad timing @AndyTCarroll, don't turn on the fans as we are the only decent thing left at this club at the moment ⚒

I agree with him. I always stay to the end and get the hump with the 80% empty stadium than I do the performance

When I see players giving 100% I'll stay.

Someone tell Andy Carroll they shouldn’t be strolling round the pitch for the money they’re on but they do. Give us something to cheer about

Away from home i’ll never leave early. At that souless stadium, it is all i can do to turn up in the first place…..
