West Ham have turned over a new leaf in recent days, making the decision to axe Slaven Bilic from his position as manager after a sequence of events over the course of the weekend that saw the Hammers slip into the bottom three.
Fans will fondly remember the Croatian’s passionate displays and the historic final season at Upton Park but one aspect where Bilic never quite hit it off properly was in the transfer market, as unfortunately a vast majority of the signings he brought into the side were not good enough.
During his two-and-a-half years in East London, Bilic parted with over £80m in signings and, whilst the majority of it was balanced with outgoing deals, the Hammers weren’t really left with too much bang for their buck.
