West Ham boss David Moyes has been handed a vital boost ahead of his first match at the London Stadium, with reports suggesting a crocked first-team ace is set to feature.

Independent West Ham site Claret & Hugh claim Austrian international Marko Arnautovic is set to play through the pain barrier against Leicester City on Friday night, after sustaining a gruesome hand injury in last weekend’s defeat to Watford.

The 28-year-old went for a scan on his thumb this week and the report adds that there is no signs of a break, which means West Ham fans can breath a sigh of relief as they won’t be without their club-record signing for the foreseeable future.

Arnautovic has struggled since his summer transfer from Stoke City but showed signs of improvement in the defeat to Watford before his second-half injury, which suggests he could still be a vital asset for the Hammers in their battle to avoid relegation.
