West Ham have been dealt a blow ahead of the January transfer window after goalkeeper Adrian has signalled his intent to leave the club.

The Spaniard, who was at one point the club’s first choice keeper after his move from Real Betis in 2013, has found himself surplus to requirements in recent season.s

The 30-year-old lost his regular spot to now Boro’ keeper Darren Randolph last season, and after now playing second fiddle to loan star Joe Hart this year, he has revealed he wants to leave the club.

Adrian told Radio Marca: “If my current situation continues I will be dependent on the transfer market.

“Right now I am not happy at West Ham.

“They are not giving me the opportunities I have earned with my performances on the pitch.

“If I don’t get to play, then my hopes of a recall to the Spanish national squad will disappear.

“The manager is not giving me much of a chance this season, even though my past statistics speak in my favour.

“All I can do is to fight to get out of this situation.  I don’t want to be in it anymore.”

Adrian has played only twice this season for Slaven Bilic’s side, both appearances coming in Carabao Cup.
