Slaven Bilic has been told he has only two games to save his West Ham job after his side’s dismal 3-0 loss at the weekend, reports Sky Sports.

The Hammers were humbled by newly promoted Brighton at the London Stadium thanks to a Glenn Murray brace and a Jose Izquierdo stunner, leaving them hovering dangerously above the relegation zone after nine games played.

With only 8 points to their name, Bilic has now been told he must improve his side’s results rapidly or he faces losing his job.

The clubs co-owners David Gold and David Sullivan, who have stood by Bilic since his appointment in 2015, are understood to have met at the weekend after being ‘extremely worried’ with the performance on Friday night.

Speaking after the defeat, Bilic said: “It is very hard for me to say anything clever in this moment apart from it’s very disappointing. As manager I take full responsibility.

“The board will do what they are going to do. It is their decision.”

Slaven Bilic’s contract at West Ham runs out at the end of the season.
