West Ham United have ruled out Andy Carroll leaving the club on-loan summer amidst interest from Newcastle United, however are open to him leaving permanently, reports Chronicle Live.

Carroll has been widely rumoured to be on his way out of the London Stadium after five injury plagued seasons in East London, with his former employers Newcastle amongst those interested in the former England international.

The 28-year-old began his career with the Geordie side, making his break in the Premier League during the 2010/11 season in which he scored 11 goals, earning himself a mega money £35 million move to Liverpool.

After a failed career at Anfield however, Carroll swapped Merseyside for the capital as he joined the Hammers for £15 million just over 18 months later.

Carroll has enjoyed mixed success in East London, however has managed to find the net only 30 times in 110 appearances in Claret and Blue.

Newcastle will now have to make a permanent approach for Carroll after the news that a loan-deal is not an option was revealed earlier today.
