Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas has predicted that the return of Dimitri Payet will inspire West Ham to victory over Watford this weekend.
The Hammers return to Premier League action following the international break with a home clash against the Hornets on Saturday.
A return of three points from the first three games of the season represents an underwhelming start to the new campaign for Slaven Bilic’s men, which has been compounded by elimination from the Europa League.
The home faithful will hope to see their side get back on track with a victory over Watford at the weekend and Nicholas has tipped Payet to lead the charge for the hosts.
The France international has been introduced to club action slowly this season so far after his exertions at Euro 2016 over the summer.
With Payet looking likely to start the game against Walter Mazzarri’s men, Nicholas feels that West Ham will win the game 2-1.
“West Ham have got over the pressure of recording a first win in the new stadium, and I’d expect them to get the victory again with Dimitri Payet back, although it might take a late winner,” he told Sky Sports.
