West Ham United have made an €8 million (£6.8m) offer for Lyon attacking midfielder Rachid Ghezzal according to L’Equipe.
The Hammers have been one o the busy Premier League clubs in the transfer market this summer and have already added a host of new faces to Slaven Bilic’s squad.
A move for Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette was unsuccessful earlier this summer, but it appears that the east London club are returning to raid the Ligue 1 side once more.
Ghezzal is an Algeria international and a product of Lyon’s fabled youth system.
The 24-year-old has been part of the French club’s first-team squad since 2012 and featured in 28 Ligue 1 games last season, scoring eight goals.
Given the amount of talent Bilic has at his disposal in attacking midfielder, including Ghezzal’s international team-mate Sofiane Feghouli, it is interesting that West Ham are being linked with another similar player.
The Daily Mail also claim that Everton are interested in the Lyon star too.
