West Ham United have had a £7 million offer for left-back Charlie Taylor rejected by Leeds United, according to HITC.

The Hammers have been searching for a new option in the defensive position since Aaron Cresswell’s knee injury in pre-season and landed former Olympiakos star Arthur Masuaku earlier this week.

However, it is believed that the Hammers are ready to make Taylor the club’s tenth summer signing and have made a considerable offer for the young starlet after impressive performances in English football’s second tier.

The east London club have already ensnare one of the Yorkshire outfit’s prized assets in the form of Sam Byram, but the Championship club are playing hardball over Taylor.

The 22-year-old is believed to want to move to the Premier League club, but West Ham’s initial offer has been rejected and it remains to be seen just how much the Clarets are willing to pay for the wideman.
