West Ham United have made a £20 million offer for an unnamed French striker, according to the anonymous Insider, as per the club’s official website.

The Hammers have been in the market for a new centre forward all summer long and are ready to welcome Argentine Jonathan Calleri to the London club after he competes for his country in the Olympic Games.

However, Slaven Bilic’s men are not set to stop there and are believed to want another striker to deputise for the soon departing Diafra Sakho.

The Insider regularly publishes opinion pieces on West Ham’s website with some inside information on club’s transfer business and has this time stated that a £20 million bid has been lodged for a French forward.

It remains to be seen the player in focus is, as the likes of Wissam Ben Yedder has moved to Sevilla and a bigger fee would be needed to attract Alexandre Lacazette.
