West Ham United are set to turn their attention to Chelsea forward Loic Remy and will make a loan approach for the French attacker if other targets evade them, according to The Mirror.

The Hammers are desperately looking to add an extra player in the final third following injuries to key men and have been linked with a host of new number nines.

Remy has found first-team football hard to come by at Stamford Bridge and is facing the prospect of limited action due to the presence of Diego Costa and Michy Batshuayi, whom are ahead of him in Antonio Conte’s preferences.

Crystal Palace are believed to be keen to land the former Marseille man, with Eagles boss Alan Pardew knowing the attacker well from their mutual time at Newcastle United.

However, West Ham are reported to be ready to intercept his possible move to Selhurst Park, with Remy now set for a choice of move ahead of 2016/17.
