Both Manchester United and Manchester City are willing and poised to pay £15 million to capture West Ham United wonder kid Reece Oxford this summer, according to The Sun.

The young defender has are quite the name for himself over the last 12 months, making a number of star cameos for Slaven Bilic’s men despite his young age.

Oxford shot into the public gaze with a stunning performance on the opening day of last season, with the then 16-year-old marking Mesut Ozil out of the game as the Hammers beat Arsenal 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

The teenager’s future has been a source of debate all summer long due to no new contract with the Olympic Stadium outfit being reached, with both Manchester clubs having new managers and wanting to land Oxford before the start of the new season.

The rumours look set to rumble on until the window closes, but surely West Ham will do everything in their power to keep the young gun in London.
