Slaven Bilic’s current and former clubs are locked in a transfer stand-off, with Milliyet claiming that both West Ham and Besiktas are keen to sign Edin Dzeko this summer.

The Bosnia international made a name for himself with prolific form in Germany, with his goals firing Wolfsburg to the Bundesliga title.

His time at Manchester City was inconsistent given a lack of regular playing time, but Dzeko showed he could be scintillating when afforded a run in the team.

A move to Roma has not quite panned out for the lofty striker, who is being tipped to depart the Italian capital for pastures new at the end of the current campaign.

West Ham need a new centre forward to add menace to their attack, but Besiktas are also looking to replace Mario Gomez, who is set to end a prolific loan stint in Turkey and return to Fiorentina this summer.
