Reece Oxford has demand a wage of £40,000 per week and a sign-on fee of £1 million to extend his terms at West Ham United, according to The Sun.

The teenage sensation has burst onto the scene in 2015-16 and is widely regarded as a player capable of playing for England one day.

Oxford starred in the 2-0 win over Arsenal on the opening day of the campaign and made a number of impressive cameos for Slaven Bilic’s men over the course of the season.

The 17-year-old has come to the attention of a host of Premier League rivals, with reports in the press linking the defender or midfielder with a switch to one of the Manchester clubs.

However, West Ham are desperate to tie the starlet down to an extended deal to ward off the suitors and have Oxford as an important player in the near future.

With talk in the media that the teenager had rejected an offer from West Ham, the latest report suggests extending Oxford’s contract could well be an expensive exercise for the Boleyn Ground outfit.
