West Ham United have put a £40 million price tag on Dimitri Payet’s head in an effort to ward off his suitors according to The Daily Star, with Paris Saint-Germain the latest team to show an interest in the playmaker.

The France international has been a revelation since moving to the Boleyn Ground in the summer and has spearheaded the Hammers’ push towards Champions League qualification this season.

With Payet also winning a place back in the France national set-up and set to be in the global limelight at Euro 2016 at the end of the season, the big name suitors are starting to queue up.

Barcelona and Real Madrid have both been linked with a substantial offer for the diminutive schemer, with PSG now also believed to have entered the race for his signature.

The French champions know Payet well from his time in Ligue 1, which will mean that Slaven Bilic could have a tough job on his hands in holding onto the club’s star performer this summer.
