West Ham United summer transfer target Michy Batshuayi would prefer a move to Tottenham than to sign for the Hammers, according to The London Evening Standard.

The Belgium international has been in scintillating form for Marseille over the last two seasons and has lit up Ligue 1 with his shows of power and pace.

Bayshuayi has been a regular goalscorer as a result and is now seemingly set to leave the Stade Velodrome for a move to English football this summer.

West Ham are in the market for a new number nine and have been linked with the former Standard Liege star for quite some time.

However, the latest report suggests that Slaven Bilic’s men could lose out on Batshuayi to cross-town rivals Tottenham.

It is believed that the striker wants to play Champions League football next season and would prefer to sign for Spurs than West Ham – even with the Hammers moving to the Olympic Stadium in the summer.
